Our distinguished speakers will be:

Kent Townsend

Mr. Townsend serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Capitol Federal Savings Bank, its subsidiary, and Capitol Federal Financial, Inc. Mr. Townsend also serves as Treasurer for Capitol Federal Financial, Inc., Capitol Funds, Inc. and Capitol Federal Mortgage Reinsurance Company, subsidiaries of Capitol Federal Savings Bank. Mr. Townsend was promoted to Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer on September 1, 2005. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President, a position he held since April 1999, and Controller of Capitol Federal Financial, a position he held since March 1999. He has served in similar positions with Capitol Federal Savings Bank since September 1995. He served as the Financial Planning and Analysis Officer with Capitol Federal Savings Bank for three years and other financial related positions since joining Capitol Federal Savings Bank in 1984.

Ken Scott

Ken is currently First Vice President, Director, Capitol Federal Savings Bank. He has been employed with Capitol Federal for thirteen years. Department responsibilities include Facilities, Security, Purchasing, Fleet, and Insurance. Prior to Capitol Federal Ken spent 19 years at Westar Energy (Evergy) managing their facilities and security requirements. Experience at Westar included the successful processing of several company mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures. Experience at both companies include the completion of hundreds of millions of dollars of commercial construction projects.
Education includes a BBA from Washburn University and an MBA from Baker University.

Josh Woods

Josh Woods has served as the Director of the Downtown Kansas City Service Center for the GSA Public Buildings Service since July of 2018. He is responsible for planning, budgeting, and directing all facility management functions for the Richard Bolling Federal Building and the Charles E. Whittaker US Courthouse, along with 56 leased locations across the KC metro. Him and his team manage approximately 5 million sq/ft in Kansas City, and serve a wide range of federal agency tenants in their office and warehouse space needs. Josh currently holds a FAcility Management Professional (FMP) designation from the International FAcility Management Association (IFMA),and is an active member with the ifmaKC chapter.

Anna Graether

Anna has been in the world of Facility Management most of her career, working for corporations, local governments, and higher education facilities. A native of Kansas City and long-time IFMA member, she currently works for Seagate Technology in Longmont, Colorado.  Anna focuses on how a facility supports an organization’s mission through facility planning, preventive maintenance, energy efficiency and addressing issues correctly the first time. Her background in design is a great bridge between the design and construction process and the on-going maintenance of those facilities. Anna received her CFM in 2009 and LEED GA designation in 2011. Her current focus is on Sustainability and the impact of the built environment on Climate Change.
