
Purpose:
The Kansas City Chapter of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) is committed to recognizing and rewarding excellence in facility management. This dynamic profession demands strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with the ability to create and maintain effective workplaces.
Successful facility managers stay ahead of workplace trends and technology while upholding professional ethics and values. Their responsibilities are ever evolving, encompassing areas such as security, architecture, IT systems, telecommunications, design, real estate acquisitions, and more. By aligning the physical workplace with an organization’s people and operations, facility managers play a vital role in enhancing productivity and efficiency.
Empowering Facility Management Professionals
Each year the ifmaKC Board approves tens of thousands of dollars in scholarship & grant funds to support our members and local students pursuing careers in this dynamic field. Scholarships will start at a minimum of $500, with the potential for higher awards based on the number of applicants and their qualifications.
Available Scholarship and Grant Opportunities:

World Workplace Conference Grant:
We highly encourage our members to attend the IFMA World Workplace Conference, a premier event for facility management professionals. Annually, ifmaKC awards grants to assist with attendance costs. The next conference is scheduled for November 18-20, 2026, in Anaheim, CA.

Facility Fusion Conference Grant:
ifmaKC supports member participation in the IFMA Facility Fusion Conference, offering grants to facilitate attendance. The upcoming conference is set for April 7–9, 2026, in San Francisco, CA.

Credentialing Scholarships and Grants:
To promote professional development, ifmaKC provides financial assistance for IFMA certification courses, including Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), and Sustainability Facility Professional (SFP). - Submit Required Documents: Include your professional letter of intent and resume. Please submit all items in PDF format.
